Behind The Brand

Cocoa49.2 is the brain child of Chef Kundeti

Kundeti has an M.B.A in Hospitality from a renowned Vatel Hotel management Institute, France. He is an accomplished executive head chef with over 20 years of culinary experience from France and United Kingdom. Kundeti holds numerous awards under the belt at International level cooking. Just to name a few:

  • Gold medal and the Title of Channel Islands senior pastry chef of the year
  • Gold medal for chocolates at salon culinaire Newcastle
  • Gold medal for plated desserts at salon culinaire Newcastle

Kundeti has honed his chocolate skills from the industry big names like Ecole Valrhona in France, Andreas lara, Jean Pierre Wybauw, Callebaut chocolate academy, Banburry, Nicolas Lesvan.

Born in a south Indian family, he was always intrigued by the use of spices and flowers in food and he has started to experiment with sweet treats. Very soon his creations were featured in ITV news channel in UK.

Kundeti being a nutritionist, is very conscious about his creations and always focuses on clean and uncomplicated food.

During his travels to South India he fell in love with the world class cocoa produce India has on offer and thus has decided to set up an artisanal chocolate lab to showcase his distinct culinary skills by using the best possible quality ingredients to produce clean and innovative chocolate flavours.

His aim is to put this local produce on the world culinary map.
